I ordered this hat as a Christmas present for my daughter. From what the picture looked, the color was more of a canary yellow. The first time that I received it, it was more of a mustard yellow. Which wasn't the color my daughter had wanted. As I looked at the colors that were available the next one on the list said "brown" which was closer in color than the one I received. I figured it was just picked wrong so I would just keep that one and reorder the color again. Don't be mislead by the color of the photo, Gold means gold or mustard yellow, although the picture looks more canary. When the second hat come it was the same color. Bummer. I guess my daughter and I can be twins. I love the hats, I just wish the color matched the one online.
Let me just tell you, I have a small head. But these beanies are way tighter than I would have thought "one size fits all" means. They also sit atop your head differently than most beanies- the very top of the beanie just sticks up off your head (as though you have a pompom stuck under it). Ended up returning, hope this helps!
Carhartt products are unreliable. They use great quality materials, have good fit and design, but they have the worst construction. I've had many Carhartt products where the seams are off, and this hat is no exception. It's crooked.
The logo label was stitched on crooked so I need to return it. I am a petite woman and it felt tight on my head. The quality of the actual hat was good, but because the logo is such a prominent feature of this hat I did not want to keep it. Other people say theirs came from China. I’m really not sure, the words on the bag are all in English but nothing on it says where it came from.
Cheap quality is very obvious, feels cheap, stretched out easily & isn't as thick as a real carhartt. It looks like 3 months to get here, wayyyy past christmas even though I ordered it on Thanksgiving. Once package arrived I was so pissed I'd waited all this time for some cheap dollar store quality hats.
This hat is not the trusty Carhartt hat of the past. I lost my favorite one on a train, so ordered this one. It is smaller and much less stiff. This could be a pro for others but I wasn’t too pleased. It feels much cheaper as far as quality. I expect a certain quality standard from Carhartt and this cheap acrylic yarn just doesn’t cut it. It is not as warm as the older model and also is very slippery on my head.
I bought this same item a year ago and it was great. This one is too small. "One size fits all" doesn't apply here, it's too small, and stretching it too much makes it too tight to be comfortable. Not what I expect from Carhartt.
Why? What happened? These used to fit great, now it's like they made them for hipsters and coneheads. Ahh. Yeah, hipsters ruined them with that excess-hat-to-protect-my-man-bun thing. Maybe that's what did it.
